"Stevens" in the text, 1p. 8vo., [n.p.]. Aug. 22, 1867, in part: "...I have sent you what will I suppose do for a note. The copy was to be much contested, but a loss of members by the late flood has greatly distressed him. I had to caution Ed McPherson. I wish Mr. Schumacher would call on Mr. Dadgress...& thank in behalf of Stevens..." Typical frantic handwriting and inkblots, else very good.
