Einstein" 1p. 4to., Princeton, July 30, 1948, in German to Lowenthal, in part: "...The parcel that you mentioned does not come from me. I am certain that your vase is a valuable object and that it would be for a museum or an art lover. However, you must understand that I am not a connoisseur...I can only give you the authority to mention, in your own letters, that I have admired the particular piece and also your work in semi-precious stones...". The letter is handsomely presented with a b/w portrait of Einstein in a gilt frame. Medal has wire at verso for hanging.
