War-date partial D.S. as a member of the Massachusetts Supreme Executive Council, 1p. 6 1/2" x 3", [Boston, 1777-1780], the concluding portion of a council document. Also signed by fellow committee members OLIVER PRESCOTT (1731- 1804), American Revolution major general of Massachusetts militia who later put down Shay's Rebellion, on the committee 1777-80; HENRY GARDNER as Massachusetts state treasurer", a position he held from 1774-1782; MOSES GILL (1734–1800), a Massachusetts politician who briefly served as the state's Acting Governor; TIMOTHY DANIELSON (1733–1791), Colonel of a regiment of the Continental Army and a Lexington Minuteman; DR. JOSEPH GARDNER (1752-1794), member of the Committee of Safety and Continental Congress; NATHAN CUSHING, and six others unidentified. A great grouping of names on a single piece.
