ALFRED ROSENBERG (1893 - 1946) Nazi leader considered the ideologist of Nazism, Reichsminister of the eastern territories, executed at Nuremburg. Superb association signed book, his "The Myth of the 20th Century" (Munich: Hoheneichen-Verlag), 1933. 712pp. 8vo. in blue cloth with gilt titles to cover and spine. Spine sunned and worn at edges, gutter a bit cracked. Rosenberg has boldly inscribed the book on the front flyleaf to his close friend: "Herr Baron William de Ropp A Rosenberg Berlin Sept. 1933". BARON WILLIAM DE ROPP (1886-1973) was a naturalized British citizen who went to Berlin in the 1920s as a representative of the Bristol Aircraft Company and became a close associate and friend of Alfred Rosenberg. De Ropp, called: "one of the most "mysterious and influential clandestine operators" of the era, soon befriended Rudolf Hess and Adolf Hitler. Hitler made von Ropp one of his closest confidantes, and revealed his political and military plans to the spy. De Ropp eventually returned to Britain as an "agent" for the Germans...all the while still working for the British.
